Katherine Plourde (b. 1993) is a Brooklyn based artist and arts administrator. In her studio practice, she works primarily in painting, drawing, and printmaking, using symbolist and occult imagery to explore ideas of queer identity, consciousness, and otherness. She has recently exhibited at Paradise Palace, and participated in the NYC Crit Club. She has curated several major exhibitions at the NARS Foundation, and was the lead organizer for three iterations of the annual Sunset Park Open Studios event. She has additionally held administrative positions at NARS Foundation and the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, among others. She received her BFA from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in 2015.
